Nasser Kandil wrote: The battle of Idlib

  • Turkey accompanied with the militias that it operated mobilize troops and military capacities for a certain battle with Al-Nusra front which announced its refusal to join the region to the de-escalations zones.
  • What the militias are doing is not a national act through which they expiate of their crimes against their country; in both cases they implement US orders.
  • What Turkey is doing is not to expiate of its crimes against Syria, since it makes a barter its basis is arranging the situation in Idlib in exchange of ensuring the prevention of forming Kurdish privacy in the northern of Syria that is supported by Washington and opposed by Syria, Russia, and Iran.
  • The behavior which would have meant a wise rational Turkish behavior is to recognize the responsibility of many acts that affected Syria under the plea of supporting the opposition, which most of them were terrorist formations, to apologize for deploying illegal troops in Syria, to be ready to regress these troops as soon as it gets a demand from Syria, and the desire to end the dispute through direct dialogue with the participation of the common friends namely Russia and Iran asking them for a cooperation in confronting the common risks of terrorism and the division projects.
  • Erdogan's arrogance prevents him from the rational acts, the responsibility of Syria towards its territories and the protection of its sovereignty makes it ensure the fact that there is no legitimacy for the presence of Turkish troops in Syria despite Astana's understandings.
  • Erdogan does not pay attention that he will be forced to behave wisely sooner or later, but the difference is that such of that behavior today is better than paying the cost tomorrow.
