“The Chosen People of God”….. Is it still chosen?

Written by Nasser Kandil,

It is a misfortune to the occupying entity which is based on the manipulation of the religious belief in order to turn it into a political one, because it is facing an influential power represented by the resistance which believes in its religious doctrine that inspires it to fight the occupying entity. The meanings of the religious vocabularies and their symbolism become beyond the simple religious texts. The Zionists after every achievement and victory since the birth of their entity and during their possession of the first nuclear bomb in the fifties and their victory in the War of June 1967always repeat that miracles exist, and that they are divine messages to the Chose People of God that it is still chosen and that the divine graces are due to its deep belief and conviction in the divine support of its project.

The leaders of the occupation depend on religious texts and their implications in their clashes in Jerusalem and West Bank and throughthe refusal of the Palestinian state, as well as in their sticking to Jerusalem as a united capital of their usurping entity. But in return, they are facing a stronger determination to restore Jerusalem depending on more inspiring religious texts, as the situation since the declaration of Imam Al Khomeini in 1980 of the Day of Jerusalem, and the growing organized spread of the revival in most of the world’s capitals. The wars of the resistance, the accomplishment of the liberation in 2000, and the obligation of the humiliated withdrawal of the occupying entity unconditionally paved the way for existential questions about the religious references on which the morale of the army and the settlers depends; Are we still God’s Chosen People? And are we still fighting for the sake of God and has God moved from our bank to the bank of our enemies?

The failure in the War of July 2006 and the accompanying facts illustrated by Hezbollah and the leaders of the occupying entity makes the conflict on interpreting the war and its consequences a conflict on the metaphysical aspect of the religion, in other words; a conflict between the concept of the divine victory adhered by Hezbollah and its Secretary General A Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as an ideal interpretation of the victory achieved by their modest number and equipment comparing with the occupying army and its capacities, and the divine failure which spreads in the Zionist religious establishment. According to Hezbollah which talked with certainty about the divine aspect of confrontation and victory, the good use of the metaphysical aspect in deepening the doubts about the ability of the entity to survive and to fight is not considered as an exploitation of weakness, rather an act of real belief that is ideologically committed as a kind of thanking Godwho is the victories “Maker” depending on “If you are grateful, I will surely give you more and more” and “If you help the cause of Allah. He will help you”.

The fall of the two Israeli reconnaissance planes over the Southern suburb and what has been said about a precious goal that they wanted to target, and the miracle of targeting the military vehicle in Avivim from an inconsiderable location, in addition to the escape of the political and the military leaderships of the entity from the confrontation are facts that add a new qualitative perception to the certainty of Hezbollah of the divine interference which forms a moral push to Hezbollah, its fighters, and its popular environment, while it forms a disaster that affected the Zionists and their religious theories about being the Chosen People of God, the people who isdeserted by God every day and who receives messages that it is no longer chosen, while the party which its name is related to Allah is only supported by Allah.
