Jumblatt Feltman : Messages in all directions

On the fifth of the last month, the Deputy Walid Jumbaltt has tweeted in his account on «Twitter» “ I have met the former American ambassador in Lebanon Jeffrey Feltman when I was in London, he is a great friend, despite that I know that so many of the Lebanese hate him….. The friend is friend”. He added I had a dinner with Feltman in an Indian restaurant, the food was very spicy, it is the latest time in which I went to Bombay Brasserie, we talked about everything, and nothing at the same time, hoping to meet him once again in New York, the dish of meat is more delicious than the spicy food” He ended saying “ I will return in the next couples of days, but I cannot say when, because of caution and prudence”.
The speech of Jumblatt has been followed after nearly forty days with the narration that has been published by newspapers and sites, some of which are close to Jumblatt, This narration revealed a speech attributed to Jeffrey Feltman like advises to Jumblatt, it has spread also in the Lebanese political salons by the friends of Jumblatt , and despite the wide spreading of media, there was not any negation in the behalf of Jumblatt or an explanation from Feltman. It is remarkable that the circulated text is the same without any difference in all media.
At the minimum level of political and professional sense, we can notice that the publishing was through a decision from Jumblatt and a request from Feltman, or at least he did not object it. We know as well that the timing was intended in mentioning the advices and circulating them. The intention was either to make this speech reach to those whom Feltman has praised implicitly, as a message that ensured the credibility of the efforts which he was doing towards them, and maybe Jumblatt has conveyed the message to them directly or through mediators, and the publishing was in accordance with the approval of Feltman, or as a demand from him to ensure the credibility, or that the aim was the arrival of the speech to Feltman’s friends, and his administration in Lebanon and the region, who do not like such of this speech, since they consider it as a last warning of the consequences of the stubbornness’s continuation, and a bet on the negative change in the American policy towards Iran and Syria, its president and Hezbollah, where the speech of Feltman to Jumblatt has included a contrary estimation to the one of Washington’s friends in Lebanon and the region, regarding their roles and their abilities, or that the aim of the circulation was the arrival of this speech to both teams, for those who agreed with this speech or those who were bothered of. It is like a sign of trends neither secret nor under table speech.
Feltman says to Jumblatt according the repetitive and reported narration “ The agreement with Iran has been almost accomplished, but the aim of the delay in signing is giving some time to promote it in Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Israel. We need a relationship with Iran the same as Iran does, if not more, Washington’s priority is no longer the overthrowing of the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, so he will remain now. Washington sees in Hezbollah a stability factor in Lebanon and the surroundings if it wants that, so we will deal with i accordingly, we will as well encourage it in this direction. Do not listen too much to some philosophers of 14th of March, this team is fragmented, torn and a dreamer sometimes. Thus my advice to you is to continue in your realistic policy”.
The oral circulated advice of Feltman to Jumblatt is to go fast in arranging your matters with the Syrian President, while the response of Jumblatt which was accompanied with a smile of regret is that “the opportunity has been missed, therefore I am going to convey the reins of power to my son Timor”.
The aim of the circulation is for those who did not miss the opportunity in arranging their matters with the Syrian President, have to gain it whether governments or political parties, those who have not arranged their relation with Iran yet, have to hasten in arranging it, and those who have not cooperated with Hezbollah yet, have to try to find a way.
The message has reached to whom it may concern, but in the region and Lebanon those who were described by Feltman as philosophers of 14th of March, are meant to be some Arab officials, and not only General Secretaries that belong only to the Lebanese of 14th of March, but philosophers who are still living the illusion and the arrogance of the American power, and they are betting on changing the facts and the policies, moreover they are as Feltman said that the Lebanese and the regional team of the 14th of March is a fragmented, torn, and dreamer one. We can add, that this is true in Turkey, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, because some of them have not chances to go in their relation with Syria, Iran, and Hezbollah. Such as Israel, and some are still dreaming and living their illusions.
Obama will arrive soon to Saudi Arabia; he will explain his speech, about which he talked in New Delhi, that his administration is seeking to a political solution in Yemen, and asking the Gulf to work on that solution according to the priority of the war against Al Qaeda and not against Al Houthis, it means to have an understanding with Iran, and not to have a conflict with it. In Lebanon, the Gulf and the Lebanese must have an understanding with Hezbollah. While in Syria, the Gulf and the Moderate Syrian opposition if it is found, they must have cooperation with the Syrian President and not to collide with.
