• Since the negotiations about the Iranian nuclear program and before their end, Muscat has hosted surprisingly one round of the rounds of negotiations, then an Iranian American conclave; it seemed later that Muscat has reserved a special seat in the equations of settlements.
• The Yemen war proceeded, escalated and when the war has arrived to an impasse, the direction was towards Muscat once by Yemeni Saudi delegations and once by Yemeni American ones, and finally the formal Yemeni Yemeni negotiations.
• Oman neither plays nor maneuvers, because during forty years it has not surrendered to Saudi Arabia and it did not fight it, but remained keeping distinctive relationships with it since the victory of the Iranian revolution, without rupture of relations with America and Saudi Arabia.
• The position of Muscat is genuine in the center, but it is not false for the mediator.
• In the Syrian crisis and while the whole world talks about the fall of Syria and boycotting its government by an Arab resolution, Muscat has refused to carry out this resolution so its embassy remains open.
• Oman has dared to welcome the Minister of Foreign Affairs Walid Al-Moualem in Muscat as a first Arab capital that did that, while Iraq and Algeria have retreated, but Syria does not forget the loyal attitudes.
• Bin Alawi meets Al-Assad in Damascus.
• Muscat does not fall but it gets the consequences of its choices.
•  He who laughs last laughs best.
