Nasser Kandil wrote: If Putin wanted to exert pressure on Al-Assad

  • Many people want to link the Russian decision through the new positioning in the Syrian war, which the Russian President named it politically the withdrawal with the hypothesis of the Russian pressure on the Syrian President.
  • The time of pressure and bargaining must be prior the accomplishment not after it, this is the ABC of negotiation, and the Russians are masters in the art of negotiation.
  • When the Russian President says that the mission has been accomplished then he has accomplished it indeed. The UN resolutions, the fate of Al-Nusra, the classification of the opposition through the armistice and the closure of the Turkish borders are the goals of the process.
  • If the Russian President wanted a certain demand then he would link between it and his waging the war before the entry and achieving the profits, which Syria has gained, but not to come and achieve goals then say I withdraw sadly.
  • The Russians have accomplished the agreed mission with Syria, to set limits and controls for the political process which makes Syria return to the international community as a condition for its participation accompanied with Russia to free the world from terrorism.
  • In order to force the West to reach the solution which the Russians wanted with Syria, the Russians threaten of the return to confrontation.
  • Putin withdraws to say either a solution as we want; me and Al-Assad, or the return to war, then Al-Assad will be alone but has all what he needs to show you what he can, so you have to choose because I withdraw.
