Nasser Kandil wrote: No Kurdish state in Syria

  • There is a lot of talk in the mass media about a Kurdish state that is being prepared in the northern of Syria; this conclusion was a result of the military expansion of the Kurdish groups and their maps.
  • This speech is based on the permanent Kurdish aspiration, Israel's support and Russian approval with the attempt to make it a federalism that is similar to Iraq, in addition to American bet.
  • The signs serve to say that there is a bet on using the Kurdish anticipation for a state for  mutli- employment of the Kurds in the existential war that is waged by the major international and regional parties in Syria, and their inability to engage their armies in, and the need that is imposed by a war for a force which is capable of fighting and ready to fight ISIS and Al Nusra from the position of the opposition.
  • The geographic and the popular size and the nature of the demographic spread of the Kurds as well as the resources of their areas' deployment do not allow the form of an entity only on condition of its subservience to Iraqi Kurdistan or Turkey.
  • The only sign through which the Kurdish state could be a possible project is giving the Kurdish Syrian strip to the Peshmerga, to get the satisfaction of Turkey and Israel, since Iraq is its depth.
  • The battle of Ain Arab Kobani was a testing- ground for all the options, but its result has been resolved by separating the Kurdish path in Syria from Iraq, this means no Kurdish state.
