Nasser Kandil wrote: From the Sultan Mohammed Al Fatih to Mohammed Morsi

  • Many people are discussing two worthless issues, the thinking about them is a kind of luxury, because they became from the past, the first issue is how did the coup fail, knowing that the question about how would it be if it succeeded is how did it succeed. The second issue is mocking at those who were enthusiastic about the coup, blaming their interaction through the emotions and the enthusiasm in addition to their legitimate wishes, while the first facts showed the major countries and Erdogan that the coup was succeeding.
  • What is important is that a huge and influential coup has affected the Turkish army and the governmental institutions, and has led to a path as strong as an earthquake that is still ruling Turkey, and to a campaign of killing and dragging in the streets that led to ten thousands of victims and thousands of injured and hundreds of dead.
  • Turkey is entering into a new phase, it is clear that its first consequences are the loss of the regional role.
  • Turkey is preoccupied in the interior.
  • The Turkish army is exposed to a campaign of harassment and killing that makes it away from any internal role, and that makes Turkey away from any external role.
  • Erdogan has confronted the coup with two steps; devoting the Muslim Brotherhood of Turkey through a religious speech that eradicates the others, and an external campaign to recapture Gulen that will lead to Turkish American crisis.
  • Erdogan has moved from the dream of the Sultan Mohammed Al Fatih to Mohammed Morsi.
