Nasser Kandil wrote: Power and Ki Moon do not feel ashamed

  • When the representative of Washington in the Security Council Samantha Power declared that the war in Aleppo will not be resolved quickly, despite the force of Russia, Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah because the powers seem balanced, and when the Secretary –General of the United Nations Ban Ki Moon said that he seeks for achieving a truce in Aleppo, then they do not feel ashamed.
  • What was not said by Ki Moon or Power is among whom the war seems long the powers seem balanced, and among whom the truce is being sought?
  • In AlRaqqa there were battles between ISIS and the Democratic Forces of Syria, but they have not been resolved yet. The Democratic Forces of Syria have regressed with the support of the US aviation and the coalition to Manbej where hundreds of the civilians have been killed by the raids of the coalition. For two months ago the war was continuous. It is a city in Aleppo where the war between the Syrian army and its allies against Al Nusra front which is classified terrorist as ISIS was waged publicly, so why did Power ignore that?
  • In Manbej, Ban Ki Moon did not announce his seek for a truce between ISIS and the Democratic Forces of Syria, thus hundreds of civilians have been killed and thousands have been trapped, while he wants the truce in Aleppo.
  • Implicitly they are dealing with Al Nusra contrary to their decision of classifying it as terrorism.
  • They do not feel ashamed.
