Nasser Kandil wrote: Tal Afar and the popular crowd

  • Washington tried to make the war in Mosul having an eastern destination, and to keep the west open under the plea of paving the way in front of ISIS in facilitation of the cost of war.
  • Turkey claims that the incursion of its troops in Iraq toward Mosul is related to the protection of the Turkmen of Iraq on one hand, and to prevent what it called the threat of a sectarian war.
  • The popular crowd which Washington and Ankara did not stop from describing it as unreliable party and try to alienate it from the deceive battles has proceeded slowly.
  • With the decision of ISIS to expand the war and to dispel the efforts of the Iraqi army once through the attack on Kirkuk and once by expanding in Al Anbar the popular crows has decided to proceed toward Tal Afar.
  • Tal Afar is the Iraqi country which is located between the Tigris and the Euphrates and which separates Mosul from the Syrian borders, and which has an important proportion of the Iraqi Turkmen.
  • The popular crowd takes into consideration the US plans of tempering in the security of Iraq, so it challenges it, because the progress toward Tal Afar causes the failure of Washington's bet on forming a fragile country for ISIS between the Mesopotamia, and taking it as a plea for having privileges, as the Turks are getting provoked by the incursion toward Tal Afar.
  • The popular crowd prepares itself to wage the most dangerous and the most strategic military tasks intelligently.
