Why the understanding on the presidency has delayed as long as the national will is still vital and capable of making the forthcoming president?
The General Michael Aoun is a candidate for two years and a half, and the dialogue between him and the Prime Minister Al-Hariri was about to reachcompatibility except for whatAl Hariri has said to Aoun that there are external complexities that he tries to overcome. The intention here is understood that Saudi Arabia has refused the arrival of a president that is ally to Hezbollah.
Al-Hariri tried to nominate the Deputy Suleiman Franjieh and to convince Saudi Arabia and the West that the alliance of Franjieh with Hezbollah will compensate what Hezbollah will losethrough its failure by imposing Aoun for the presidency, as a symbolism of victory, they accepted but Hezbollah has refused.
The battles of Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and the confrontation between Russia and America have created balances that led the international regional alliance of Al-Hariri to behave as a defeated and to be left alone, and announced Hezbollah as victor.
A victor and a defeated in a global war grants the local ally an opportunity to impose his candidate, so there is no international regional settlement that leads to a president outside Lebanon and becomes Lebanese industry.
