• The former Israeli researchers and ministers of war and intelligence participated in a seminar at Maariv newspaper on the remembrance of the war of July to assess the strategic position of Israel.

• They have agreed that the security belt on the southern borders of Syria has fallen and failed, and that the international recognition of the staying of the Syrian president has become conclusive and the war is almost over, while ISIS will not last so long, therefore the Syrian army will regain all the areas respectively.
• They have agreed that the Palestinian youth uprising is the outcome of the Israeli, western, and the Arab failure in the Syrian war. When the Palestinian leaders move towards negotiation, Israel hesitates despite the Arab tracks of normalization, because the Palestinian street is moving reversely and the photos of Al-Assad are raised as the photos of Gamal Abdul Nasser for half of a century ago, while its eyes are towards Nasrollah.
• They have agreed that cease-fire in the southern of Syria under US-Russian auspices is a gain for Israel because it is similar to the resolution 1701 in its desirable promises which will not be achieved as alienating Hezbollah away from the borders, but at the same time it stops failed war and offers guarantees not to escalate.
• At the remembrance of the war of July, Israel is aware through the minds of its leaders that its time has passed and nothing will come back, and that the war of Syria is a bigger failure than its failure in July, moreover its loss of the deterrence capacity in July is versus its loss of the ability to regain it after the Syrian war. This has become an unattainable dream, so its current dream has become not to give the plea to be exposed to war and to be protected with international surrounding that prevents the contact, where the Israelis hear their leaders say that the military choice is always present but half of them believe that, while the other half does not believe and wish that this will not happen.
