- The Head of the Iraqi Kurdistan region Masoud Barazani knows that if the US administration was faithful in supporting the birth of Kurdish independent entity it would do that since the year 2003 after the occupation of Iraq while everything was under its control.
- Barazani knows as well that the Turkish cooperation with Kurdistan in the sale of oil and trade was the cost of the cooperation of Barazani in confronting the Kurds of Turkey and their seeking to get their rights. When it is the moment of choice between the trade and supporting an independent Kurdish entity Turkey will close the gates and the borders.
- Barazani knows that Iran which made multiple relationships with the leaderships of Kurdistan region within its seeking to open up to the components of Iraq will not be tolerated with the birth of an entity that will threaten the unity of Iran, and the tempting of the Kurds in it as the Kurds of Iraq and the Kurds of Turkey.
- Kurdistan's secession is an issue that affects the future of the region and the unity of its entities. In the balances of the current powers there is no ability for the advocates of the secession to confront those affected by it.
- The referendum can be a pressing paper to improve the negotiation with Baghdad whether through postponing the referendum or by conducting it but without implementing its results.
- What is good for the situation of the Kurds of Iraq is better for the situation of the Kurds of Syria.
- Clinging to the illusions of the secession complicates the situation of the Kurds in the region, while the positioning within its unified entities brings them gains.
- What is important is that the Kurds must dismiss the illusions by themselves not to wait till Washington trades with the paper of their secession, and then it will leave them unsupported after they have broken the bridges of confidence with who will remain, and have invested everything on who will leave.
