• There is no debate that the Turkish occupation of the city of Afrin is an aggression and a foreign occupation that violates the sovereignty of the country, occupies its lands by force, and displaces its people. This is the position of the Syrian country before and after the occupation and will remain after the occupation.
• The debate revolves around what the Syrian country could do towards the threat of the aggression and the occupation in the surrounding circumstances of its other battles, and the kind of the challenge posed by the confrontation in Afrin in the light of the current situation of the Kurdish groups.
• The Kurdish leadership stuck to its formula of the local administration of the territories which are under its control and the control of Syrian Democratic Forces which forms the Syrian cover of the American occupation, despite the occupation of Afrin its leaders talked about the continuation of the alliance with the Americans and beholding Russia the impossibility of the fall of Afrin, as if what is needed from Russia and Syria is to wage the battles by proxy of America’s allies.
• Afrin was under the auspices of the NATO with a local ally of the Americans, then it became under the auspices of the NATO with a regional partner of the Americans. In both cases its restoration of the Syrian sovereignty would not be available, but only if the Kurdish leadership decided to consider the Americans and the Turks different forms of occupation and called the Syrian army to enter the areas under its dominance, and thus to impose the control of the Syrian government in exchange for a political dialogue about the political solution, including its participation in a new government that puts new constitution that  treats the Kurds fairly in their legitimate demands rather than the aspirations towards federalism and secession.
• Till adopting this position, Syria and its allies have the right to choose the timing of the battle with the Turks, and the hope of Kurdish awakening that reveals and discloses the manipulation and the deceit of the Americans in the light of the abandonment of the Kurds in Afrin and Manbej as an ally of the two belligerents, taking into consideration the experience of the Kurds of Iraq before occurring more disasters due to the wrong bets.
