The two events in the north of Syria have indicators to the course of the forthcoming days
and the nature of the understandings which will impose themselves in favor of the Syrian
country; the first indicator is the withdrawal of hundreds of Kurdish militants from
Manbij and the second is the outbreak of clashes where dozens of Al Nusra front and the
groups affiliated to Turkey have been killed in the northern of Aleppo, and that led to the
expansion of Al Nusra’s control.
The withdrawal from the border lines is the start which is abided by the Kurdish militants
as a condition for the Syrian government to bear the responsibility of the borders with
Turkey and to ensure that there will be no security breach across the borders. So that ends
the Turkish security pretext of the military incursion in the border areas on one hand, and
ends the pretext of the presence of Kurdish secessionist region that threatens the unity of
Turkey and justifies the presence of the Turkish forces in a part of Syria.
Syria believes in what it does to enhance the unity and the sovereignty of Syria, not to sue
Turkey, but the political function of such action makes the Turks stop their border
harassment and be ready to accept to get out of Syria.
On the other hand, the clashes in the northern of Aleppo show that the elimination of Al
Nusra front is no longer a Russian-Turkish debate, since the Turks have recognized the
necessity of the military action. The clashes show too that the armed groups affiliated to
Turkey are weak to behold this responsibility, and that the Syrian army will control soon
on the areas that were under the control of Al Nusra front.
Syria is restoring its sovereignty and unity. It knows well how to manage this battle
politically and militarily along with its faithful allies.
