The first shock in all wars forms half of the war, because it expresses the rush of the
attacking armies, the element of surprising, and the mobilization of elements that have
been long prepared for. After the failure of the first shock in achieving its goal,
alternative plans always form an attempt to prolong the conflict and fortifying the
locations but cannot resolve what was not resolved by the first shock. This is shown in
the wars which achieved their goals even if they stammered later as in the wars of
America in Iraq and Afghanistan and their rapid success after the first shock, and this is
shown in the failed war on Syria after the failure of the first shock and Syria’s success in
controlling it. While the first shock has succeeded in overthrowing Egypt, and Tunisia
and paved the way for changes in Libya and Yemen.
Venezuela is closer to the Syrian example in its ability to absorb the first shock which
was mobilized from inside Venezuela and outside it due to the political and economic
crisis, but most importantly is that the plan of overthrowing Venezuela is as the plan of
overthrowing Syria, has depended on the bet to attract the army or at least to violate its
ranks, trying to affect the supporting front of the president and confusing the allies and
intimidating them to prevent them from any solidarity positions or movements that stop
such interventions. But these attempts of affecting the army, popular groups, and allies
have failed in Venezuela as in Syria.
Now the conflict is entering the stage of collecting points, this stage may take time but it
will end with negotiation and recognition that the project of overthrowing Venezuela has
failed as in Syria.
The difference between Syria and Venezuela is that Venezuela is resisting supported by
the experience of Syria and its victory and what has been achieved by peoples and
leaderships as the courage in understanding and confronting the projects of wars and
what has been gained by the allies through their early confrontation of the aggression.Translated by Lina Shehadeh,
