Nasser Kandil wrote: East axis of economic, security and strategic integration

The meeting which brought together the Chiefs of Staff of Iran, Iraq, and Syria forms the
first serious step by these countries that have central importance in the regional security
which is related directly to the engagement with the American policies and the Israeli
security. This occurs after significant and qualitative victories achieved by these countries
together or individually against terrorism and after the deterrence which they imposed on
the Israeli aggressive policies and after the balance which they created with the American
military and political presence and with the cooperation which they succeeded in
stabilizing with the two world giant forces in Russia and China.
- This step occurred after the important visit of the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad to
Tehran and the visit of the Iranian President to Iraq, and after building solid relationships
between Russia, Iran, and Syria, and the stabilization of the military and political status
of Russia in the ongoing confrontation in Syria, in addition to the need of Washington’s
allies at their forefront Turkey to adjust their considerations.
- In this state of the American regression and the deterrence faced by Israel especially after
the bad recent experiences with the Palestinian resistance, in addition to the Turkish
avoidance of the Iranian and Russian anger in the light of Saudi and Gulf preoccupation
in the concerns of the internal and regional failure, this rising Iranian-Iraqi-Syrian axis
becomes a geographic, economic, and military bloc that is capable to draw new equations
and balances in the field of the economic integration including the processes of linking
railways, electricity networks and oil and gas pipelines in addition to the military
coordination and the military industries that abolish the impacts of the US sanctions.
- Those who read early these transformations will earn a lot, the first involvers are
consecutively the neighboring countries Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Turkey, and Pakistan.
