In the celebration of the Liberation Day, and while Beirut is celebrating its resistance as a global
Arab Lebanese cultural phenomenon, it is an honor for me that my book “Hezbollah-The
Philosophy of Strength” has been chosen for a seminar by an invitation of Dar Al Nadwa, the
Arab national forum, and the participation of the Head of Loyalty to the resistance bloc; the
Deputy Mohammed Raad and the writer and the former minister Karim Pakradouni.
The participations of the veteran nationalist fighter Ma'an Bashour, the MP Mohammed Raad the
intellectual resister, the reader, the interlocutor and one of the resistance founders and leaders,
and the veteran political politician who accompanies the international, Arab, and Lebanese
transformations and their variables ensure that the intellectual debate and the cultural principles
were and still the essence of the resistance as a project of change that starts from changing the
way of thinking.
How the resistance thinks and how it thought until it made an achievement after another to the
extent of miracle was the center of the seminar, as it is the subject of the book. The goal is not to
present facts, to document them or to review the strength and its use, rather to reach to the
approach that achieved victories in order to achieve more in the moment of the decisive options.
The resistance is confident of the validity of the method it possesses, its capabilities, alliances,
and the security networks, deterrence systems which it made. It was an integrated cultural project
in the words of the intellectual Mohammed Raad. It is the dismantling of Balfour Declaration and
Sykes Picot versus the Deal of the Century and illusion of the end of history; the exciting slogan
launched boldly by the thinker Karim Pakradouni, while Ma'an’s equation for Beirut in its
Lebanese and Arabism aspects is an evidence of the success of the resistance.
It was a special celebration with distinctive features that grated everyone who participated in a
sense of pride of this resistance, its achievement, and the confidence in the future to come.
